Julie Milland and her dog

Julie has over 20 years experience writing in a range of modes: science, business, fundraising, advertising and creative fiction.

Her awareness of the need for benefit-driven copy coupled with creative writing and a broad knowledge base, enable her to bring a diversity of experience to any writing project. Whether the need is for a conventional or a creative approach, she can adapt her writing style and tone to fit the brief. Julie also writes creative fiction and has had work published in Best Australian Stories 2008 and broadcast on ABC Radio National.

She has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) from Monash University (First Class Honours in Pharmacology), a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Melbourne (Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) and was a Research Fellow at the Austin Research Institute and the University of Melbourne. She has also completed the highly regarded Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing at RMIT in Melbourne.

  

Julie is a SCUBA diving instructor, a former swimming coach and also loves cycling, weight training, running and snowboarding.
