Vicky’s writing is fuelled by a passion for the English language and a diverse background in science, small business, travel and sport. She has a Bachelor of Science (Latrobe), a Master of Reproductive Science (Monash) and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of NSW. For a number of years, she worked at the University of California (Berkeley) and University of California (San Francisco), USA. On her return, Vicky completed courses in copyediting at RMIT, editing at the Victorian Writers Centre, copywriting at The Australian School of Copywriting and the Certificate IV in Business (Small Business Management) at RMIT.

Vicky is an avid runner and has run in the Sydney and Silicon Valley (California) marathons as well as in countless other shorter events. She also enjoys squash, weight training, cycling and SCUBA diving. Given Vicky’s high level of physical activity, she is able to indulge her love for everything epicurean.
